I LOVE General Conference weekend! Well, I really wish I was home on Saturday to watch it but now we have the ability to record it so that helps out immensely! However, Conference Sundays are the BEST! I love that we have the opportunity to watch and listen from amazing speakers that are so inspired to share so many wonderful truths about the Gospel! When we first moved to TX we could only get it by going to a Broadcast at the Stake Center or by listening to it on the internet. However, a year later of being here Time Warner Cable picked it up on one of their channels and now we have it available to view at home! Yay!! Even more convenient now that we have an energetic 18 month old! I think I am going to make homemade chili on Sunday and also homemade cinnamon rolls for dessert! Yum!!!! What's YOUR tradition for Conference weekend?

I LOVE Conference too! It's so nice to hear from the leaders of the church. Especially President Hinckley. Who do you think will be the next member of the First Presidency? Also, can I get invited to read the Bywater Blog? Is that your mom's?
One more comment...Ok, MARTHA!!! Homemade chili and homemade cinnamon rolls??!! WOW!!! IMPRESSIVE! No traditions here. Guess I should start one. Any suggestions?

I can't say that I have always LOVED conference...in that it is hard for me to sit and listen for each 2 hour spot, without closing my eyes. So, my remedy to that?? All the Bywater gals get together and scrap all weekend!! We start on Saturday morning and stop early Sunday evening. (yes, a sleep over) This way we can listen to the wonderful talks (and I try to guess which ones our Stake President will assign to me for my next years lessons), we can visit and we can catch up on our scrapping, sewing, Christmas gifts etc. at the same time. After many years of having it at my home, we are all going to Kels's. Kelsey is providing 'brunch', Jean is providing Saturday supper and I am doing the meal on Sunday, quality, change of lifestyle food of course *wink*. I WANT A CINNAMON ROLL!!!!
I've always loved conference!!! It's My favorite by far. We still get the radio, with that wonderfull Bzzzzz noise in the background though, Oh well, Something is better than nothing I guess.
Were going to do a Pot roast in the Crock pot (YUM). I love it because Its easy, and slowly fills your home with this wonderful home cooked meal smell, or at least thats what it reminds me of. While we watch (listen) to conference it does its thing, and when conference is over, the pot roast is done.
