So Precious

I LOVE nap time! It is the one time of the day that I can regroup and take a minute to get things done without tripping over my shadow! Love her to pieces, it's just so hard to accomplish things with someone on your heels at every moment. Well, during this lovely nap time I had to take some pictures because I just thought she looked so precious and so peaceful:
Makenzi LOVES her Big Girl bed (aka the old guest room which is now HER room in which she inherited the queen sized bed). She loves to jump on it and when she sleeps she will sprawl out and take up as much room as her little body will let her!

She has been SO MUCH FUN as she talks our heads off these days and is as sassy as EVER! There is definitely never a dull moment in our house! Some things include:

~She was on my lap and decided to give me a hug and said "I love you SO MUCH" (so precious!)

~She grabbed my unplugged curling iron while I was straightening my hair with my flat iron and held it up to her hair and looked at me and said "Just like mommy" with a big grin on her face

~Lately she LOVES to shower!!! No tubs for her, she's too much of a big girl. So she will get undressed and say "I shower too!!!!" and climb in the shower and do her thing. Afterwards she gets all dry and asks for lotion. I used to really think she meant the actual lotion but no, she will raise her arm and wait for me to put deoderant on her! So I'll dab dab a little on her and then she raises her other arm and says "other arm!" and then she's set! Such a silly girl!

~She also remembers all the errands that we run. We will get into the car and start running through the list "We go to the bank?" "We go baby brother doctor?" "We go to the store?", or when we are home she gets her shoes on and grabs her pink Barbie keys and tells me "I nee go get the mailn" (she likes to put extra "n's" in her words).

~Another time Jed was wearing khaki pants to work (which isn't too often) and it threw Makenzi off a bit. Jed sat down on the bed with me and Makenzi and she leaned over and rubbed his pants for a second and said "I yike your pants!". Jed was glad to get the approval of his little princess! Made his day!

These are just some of the things she's been up to lately. She really is so much fun. I love how much she learns every day. She was singing "Sunbeam" all day yesterday intermixed with a little "Happy Birthday". And any time she gets a chance to do a little dancing she's all over it! She loves to shake her little body. Whenever we are in the car she will say "Dancin!!!!" which means turn up the music so she can dance in her carseat!! Don't even think of turning it down!! So much fun!
