Random Thoughts...

Note: Potentially long post...read on if not busy for the next 30 mins! j/k

Looking at January I realized there were only 4 posts...really, only 4? January must have passed by a lot quicker than I realized! I'm not sure if it's due to not taking as many pictures as I usually do (as I can ONLY blog when I have pictures to blog about!), or if nothing that exciting has been going on to propel me to my computer to do any blogging or maybe I've just been too consumed with so many other random things I've found myself actually AWAY from my computer therefore keeping me from blogging (GASP!!! I know, the horror!).

This month has actually been pretty busy. I started it off with a bang by taking a quick trip to day surgery and well, having surgery. No worries, all is well...now! Who knew an IUD could perforate one's uterus and migrate up into the abdomen? Recovery went well and zip another week went by.

Both my parents, my grandpa and Jed's brother celebrated birthdays this month...Hope you're enjoying your new Cricut mom! Dad, hope your fancy new shoes and nice shirts are working out well for you! We love and miss you guys, you're simply the best! Hope you're feeling better Grandpa. And Justin, we hope your getting a lot of use out of your computerless wire! ;)

Kenzi has been flirting with the idea of being potty trained. For Kenzi, some days it's the best thing ever and other days she thinks it's SUCH A DRAG!!!! :) Overall, I think we are making progress. She likes to tell us that "it's working" when she's using the big girl potty and thinks getting stickers are the best things ever! At this point, however, it's hard to imagine little Miss will ever actually be completely potty trained and go a day with no accidents...

As mentioned in the previous post, Chunky Monkey, aka Jax, has decided that tummy time is NOT FOR HIM! He hates it and wants nothing to do with it. So with that attitude he has taught himself to roll on over to his back where it's much more comfortable and so much more conducive to stare at that ever fascinating ceiling fan!

(Nope this isn't a video of Jax actually rolling over, it's him letting us know he's not a fan of this tummy time thing!)

In other news, we've been having a blast (and by "blast" I mean pain-stakingly) painting baseboards and dejunking/decluttering the house. Cleaning things out would be one of the easiest things for Jed to do as I am completely opposite and find it overwhelming and frustrating: do I need this? Will I need it in the future, I might, better hang on to it. Where did this come from? Oh I wish I knew I had these FIVE packets of index cards so I didn't go buy more!...Like I said, frustrating. With Jed he looks at it, ponders it for about 5 seconds and 9 out of 10 times throws it away. If only...

So this would be our month of January in a nutshell. I may try to post more than 4 posts in Feb, however it's a short month so no promises! :)

Dane hates Tummy time too, but he's getting better, he will actually roll onto his belly by himself, then he'll remember that he hates it and roll back! it's funny to watch! Good luck with the potty training thing, I'm NOT looking forward to that with a boy!

Can you believe it....swoooop and its February!! I think its the SuperBowls fault! It has always been in January and the last few years has skipped right into February! I am not a January person, which has a lot to do with it being my birthday month, but also because its such a loooong ole month. You're so pumped through the months of Sept through Dec because of all the holidays and what do we have in January???? Nada, zip, zilch...
With that being said, man where did January go??? You are right Jen....I have so much I want to accomplish this year and I have already lost one month of it!!
Here's to a long, productive February. Oh and by the way, who really cares if there has been a sighting of a shadow???? I mean really?? Freak, winter lasted well into May last year...so 6 weeks my tush!! *huuggzzz*
