The BOYS clubMy dad and lil bro (okay maybe not "little" but "younger") came out to visit us for an extended weekend! We had SUCH A GREAT TIME! They came to celebrate Makenzi's birthday with us (and I took advantage of their handy skills to do a few things around the house). We were out and about pretty much every day. The weather was beautiful! I'm so glad they were able to come and visit us! Makenzi had such a fun time with them and loved having them chase her ALL over the house!
Our first stop was Galveston Island. One of my client's recommended "Michael's Burger" to go and grab something to eat. It turned out to be a little pricey for a hamburger but you know what??? They were DELICIOUS! We ended up talking about it ALL weekend and wanted to go back just to eat there again!
After Galveston we had to hurry home to get ready for Makenzi's birthday party with "All my friends" as she says. That was a lot of fun as you already read. We were glad everyone could join us for some yummy cake and ice cream!
Saturday was spent watching General Conference and puttering around the house fixing a few things here and there. Sunday was also spent watching General Conference which we were thankful that it was on cable this time around. It's always so nice to have it on tv to watch vs trying to watch it via the internet which sometimes we've had to do, which is fine and all just so nice to have on TV! :)
We also opened family gifts since it was Makenzi's actual birthday that day. Kenzi got some adorable clothes and a magnetic dress up doll from her Remaw and Papa. And her Grandmama and Papa Bywater gave her the cutest 'artist smock' to wear to do all of her painting/drawing/crafty stuff:
She's wearing the cute smock from Grandmama and Papa here but you can't see it too well because she just opened another gift which was that cute dress she's holding.

Monday we got up and drove to NASA, which sadly I've lived here nearly 5 years and have never been to NASA. It was pretty cool there. The only thing we missed was going on the Tram tour which everyone says you should do...everyone got that same advice....it was an hour and a half wait!!!! So we didn't get to do that but we did/saw everything else there
The weekend went by WAY too fast! Pretty soon we were headed back to the airport! We had a lot of GREAT food and ate entirely WAY TOO MUCH!! Oh and if anyone would like some yummy brisket at 2 AM just let me know, I'll totally hook you up! LOL!

Looks like good times! So what is this story about brisket at 2am? I haven't heard that one...
It looks like a good time was had by all, NASA looks like a fun place to visit.
Crap, I didn't know that dad got to go to the ocean. I didn't realize he got to go to NASA either. He said he did some stuff and had a great time. Yeah....stuff my left foot! Great pictures sis...thanks for sharing. I will probably need to copy a couple of them. I can't wait for your return...its getting so closeeee!
