More Summer Fun!

Jaxson officially got his first haircut on his "10 month birthday" (July 24th). It was just getting too long and in his face so it was time. We really didn't take too much off, just enough to clean him up a bit! He was pretty good. Jed held him throughout the process (probably should've put a cape on him too!) and Jax was just wondering what the heck was going on!

Our friends from Houston came to town. Makenzi was SO excited to see her BFF! Afterall, it HAD been 2 months since she saw her last (minus the few times we got to Skype on the computer)! Kenzi was jumping up and down and saying how excited she was that SEVY was coming to stay at our house! Too cute! They saw each other and didn't miss a beat, they ran upstairs like they always would and started playing and laughing and having a BLAST!

We decided while they were here to do some more fun things which included a trip to the Dinosaur Park. That was good times. The girls had a lot of fun and we just ended up taking a bunch of fun pictures.

We also decided that it would be fun to go to Lava Hot Springs! I hadn't been there in YEARS!! It was so fun to go back there and bring the kids. Everyone had SUCH a great time. Kat and I didn't wan't to be perceived at wimps so we gathered up our courage and went down a huge, steep waterslide. I'm not one for water slides really and probably wouldn't have gone down this one had Kat not done it with me. I'm glad we did it, it was fun but only fun enough to do ONCE :)

Kenzi has also enjoyed some much needed cousin time! Her cousin Kyli and her are only 6 weeks apart and manage to have themselves a great time whenever they are together!

I also had a chance to meet up with one of my old college roommates! Brea and I haven't seen each other since my wedding day, 7 years ago! We have been able to keep in touch however, never been able to meet up...until now! Brea is one of those cherished friends that even though you don't talk every day or see each other often, when you do, it seems you can pick up right where you left off, like there was never a lapse in time! Brea, thank you for such a fun afternoon! I loved meeting your sweet kids and having a chance to catch up! Let's get together again!!


It was also Country Fair Days so per tradition we got our blankets and treats and headed over to the parade. It was pretty cold in the morning but turned out to be a really nice day! Kenzi enjoyed watching the parade. We thought she might be more excited about getting the candy that was being thrown, however I think it was her parents that were excited. Kenzi spent all day with her cousin McKell jumping on all the jumphouses and going down the slides. It was a fun/exhausting day! Good times for sure!
