Family Visit

Jed's parents and sister, Stacy, came to H-Town to visit us for about a week! It was a lot of fun. Stacy hadn't been here yet and was excited to come and see where we live, work, etc. We ate out a lot (probably too much...pants feeling much tighter these days!), played "Five Cards of Crayons" aka Five Crowns and Phase 10 entirely too much (I think we wore the print off of the cards!) and had an overall fun visit with them!

We got to share our Valentine's Day with them. Makenzi made Papa and ReMaw Valentine cards which they seemed to really enjoy. Kenzi, of course, was our Valentine and she got some highly anticipated coloring books and some cute pajamas.
Jed spoiled me a bit and got me a really nice Relic watch! It's super cute! We were SOO lucky to have Jed's parents here so we could, for the first time in almost TWO years, go see a movie!!! We went and saw

"Fool's Gold" which was SOOO cute! It's funny, entertaining and overall a good time. It was fun to just go to the movie and relax a bit!

Earlier that day we went to the IMAX theater in the musuem district and saw the "Galapagos" movie in 3D, which at first I wasn't sure how good it was going to be, however it turned out to be quite interesting. I'm glad we went!
On Friday, I took Sondra and Stacy to the salon with me and we had a salon day. Stacy got a pedicure and I did haircuts and colors for both of them. They looked FABULOUS when we left, if I must say so myself :)

We all went to church on Sunday, which for us is a half day event as Jed and I have different meetings and what not on Sundays due to our callings and just basically it's impossible to leave sometimes! This past Sunday, Jed had to stay after for a bit so we waited in the nice weather for him to finish up.

Monday was another touristy day for them. I unfortunately had to go to a 5 hour meeting for work so I couldn't join them. They made the rounds around the Medical center where Jed works and got to see where the new Eye Clinic is being built. They went to Rice Village and shopped for a little bit and then got to enjoy some yummy Mexican food at Gringo's (sooo good!).

I think overall it was such a fun time. I enjoyed having the company and being able to show them around a little bit! I hope they had a great time as well. It's always fun when family and friends come for a visit! Thanks for a great time, Poll's!
