In Loving Memory

During this past week we got the heartbreaking news that my precious cousin Mallory passed away. She was such a beautiful girl both inside and out. I will forever remember her loving, kind example she was to me and everyone around her. I always felt fortunate I could be there when she was born and the following summers visiting. We were lucky to have her in our wedding helping out during the reception. She looked so adorable and was ready to help out wherever she could! She was an incredibly gifted dancer that just lit up the stage when she performed. She worked hard and never gave up!

Mallory,

You will forever be in our hearts! We love you so much and are so fortunate to have known you and have you in our lives. You have touched so many people and made the world a brighter place! You were such a loving, beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend and will forever be remembered for your shining example. We love you!

Our dear daughter Mallory, parents John and Patrice Parsons, sister to Christian, Cameron and Mitch, granddaughter to Gerald L. and Carolyn C. Perkes and Jerald and Mary Parsons, died in a tragic drowning accident at Bear Lake Utah during the annual family vacation.Condensing a life as full as this 14-year-old girl made it is difficult...but we'll try anyway.

Mallory's final act was of heroic sacrifice as she kept her little cousin from the same fate she suffered. Her selfless love manifested itself one last time, as it has countless times before to so many of her friends, but especially to her family who still love her so very much!"Mallory is lovely-the best kid I've ever met" is a sentiment expressed by nearly everyone who knows Mallory; she is a "breath of fresh air" to be with and made her many family adventures so much more fun.

The closeness Mallory shared with her mom is the stuff of legend, she was her best friend, her rock and her angel. Family knows it; friends can sense and feel it and have often expressed a certain envy of their relationship. Mallory is well loved."Mally" is her father's daughter. She might not like to admit it but she reflects many of his uncommonly good traits...and maybe a few of the other kind? The depth of this mother's and father's love is endless."My sweet baby sister will forever dance in my heart, her smile and laughter will guide me to her again and again." Chris loves his sister and will miss the teasing and tormenting they shared. "You danced into my heart and raised me up. Every ounce of me belongs to you my sweet baby sister." Cameron loves his sister just as much. "Mallory is loved...and being loved is priceless." Mitch still looks up for and to his sister.

If there's singing in heaven there must be dancing too and we're sure Mal has a dance studio already set and ready to go! Dancing was such a big part of her life and all her dancing family just as big a part. It really is the people that make it all worth it; and Mallory is definitely worth it! Mom always admonished on the way out the door: "Make good choices." Mally always did, right to the end.We love you Mallory and will miss you until you can dance with us again! You and your aunt Pammy take care of each other!
