I'm not sure, exactly, how we've managed to live here nearly 5 years and not made some sort of effort to make it to the nearly month-long annual Rodeo! This event is HUGE here and almost everyone I've met has been to the largely anticipated event. This year was NOT going to pass us by again without us attending! I'm so glad we did because we had such a great time!

Makenzi did something I thought she would NEVER do: feed the animals! I thought for sure she would be so scared but she wasn't. She laughed her little head off when the animals came up to her for some food. It was so fun.

We have a ton of pictures of Makenzi on the rides. At first either Jed or I would ride the ride with her, but then they got stingy on the tokens and started charging the parents too to ride with their kid-LAME!!! So she amazed us once again and actually went on the rides ALL BY HERSELF! This girl is TERRIFIED of heights, how she went on these rides that went up and down and round and round by herself is beyond me. She's such a BIG GIRL!

Kenzi enjoyed the flying pink elephants. She thought they were so much fun! She loved too that her daddy was right there with her!

Jaxson was so good and just chilled in his stroller while his sister was on the rides.

At the end of the day we were leaving and Jed surprised Makenzi with her very own PINK cowgirl hat! She had been eyeing it since we got there! Unfortunately, it DIDNT' FIT! :( So as we were leaving we were telling this lady that worked at another hat place that her hat didn't fit so she hooked us up with a cute one that did!

So cute...sorry, it's a little blurry

I just had to add this picture, it's just so cute! She just has SO MUCH HAIR!! We can't control it some days :)
All in all the rodeo was a lot of fun. Kenzi got to see all the animals, ride rides, and enjoy funnel cake.
Most impressive of all is that during the day we ran a bunch of errands: the bank, got lunch, Target and a few other stores, then went to the rodeo for the rest of the day and Makenzi wore big girl underwear ALL DAY and had NO ACCIDENTS!!! Yay!! We were so proud of her! She showed us that on more than one occasion this day that she is getting to be such a big girl, so independent and ready to be a 3 year old! Can it be?? Less then a month away...

Cute Cute! Love the pic of MacKenzie and Jed on the little roller ride - gotta love a good rodeo! BIG fan of the pink cowgirl hat. Now all you need are the pink boots to complete the look!!
