Summer…and stuff

So it’s nearly the end of August and not a single post this summer! What a slacker! It’s been a fun summer though and we’ve been super busy, which was my goal and mission accomplished!

We went to see our awesome friends, the Barlow’s, down south a couple of times which is always a good time!

We got in a couple of fun shows like seeing Brian Regan (Jed’s just a little bit of a fan) and then Staci and I went to Tarzan which was just as fun (a plus too that I WON the tickets for Tarzan at the Brian Regan show, giving us an excellent excuse to head back down there and enjoy another show!).

My brother is the coach for the high school soccer team and they happened to be playing in the state play-offs while we were down there so we were able to go and cheer them on!

The kiddos loved the Barlow’s new back yard with the cool tramp that you can just walk onto and the awesome playhouse/swing set with the fun slide that Jax wanted to climb up instead of go down!

Kenzi finished her first year of dance and seriously LOVED every bit of it! She was so excited to go on the “big stage” and wear her “beautiful” costume and have pretty make up on! She loved to perform her “Animal Crackers” dance to anyone who was willing to watch. She did an amazing job! She wasn’t nervous ONE BIT!! She was just so excited to go out there and perform, it was the cutest thing ever! She keeps asking when she can go to dance again!

(You know the movie “Enchanted”? Well, Kenzi sometimes thinks that she is the princess Giselle from that movie and likes to pose like her…often…no really, not kidding!)

Time for the Barlow’s to come up and visit for a bit! We headed to the children’s museum and had a GREAT time, well until Jax decided he was done with the place and decided to have a meltdown (or two), so we had to cut our time there a little short but we got quite a bit in the time we were there!

Tyler was teaching the students here a thing or two, they look quite studious for a 4 y/o, a 2 y/o and a 1 y/o! Very impressive!

And of course, no visit is complete without a visit down to the princess wardrobe closet aka: the toy room and dressing from head to toe like one of your fave princesses!

We’ve loved spending a lot of our summer at the pool! The kids have had SO MUCH FUN playing in the water, being in the sun and going round and round that lazy river!

Oh and as far as baby news goes, well, I’m still very pregnant and it’s still a girl! Ü Can’t say we are ready for this little one as of yet. Still working on the bedroom situation and well the list goes on of things that still need to be done, but we’ve got some time!
