Are you ready??

That was the question I asked Makenzi on Tuesday as we were headed out the door to drop her off for her first day of preschool. Her reply??

“YES!”

She was SOOO excited to be going to school and truthfully, I was SOO excited for her as well.  She has been so ready to go to school, it just couldn’t seem to come fast enough.

 

Here she is!!! All dressed in her school spirit shirt and new school bag she received from her teacher!

 

I totally LOVE this! Little Jax came with us to take sister to school on the first day. He was right there with her for the first 20 mins I was there.  He was just a part of the class with all the other 4 y/o’s! He thought it was so cool he could sit on the animal mats and be next to his big sister. 

  

Then it was time to go so she could finish up her first day.  Jax told her “buh-bye”, waved to her and blew her a massive kiss! It was sweet.  Kenzi seemed a little unsure for about a split second about having us leave but then was reassured that she was at school and it was going to be FUN and her little cousin with in class with her as well so she didn’t really feel alone. 

End of the day? She LOVED it! She had so much to say about her day: all the songs they sang, the snack they got at snack time and that she gets to wear BLUE on the next day of school!

That was Tuesday, today was Thursday and her second day of school that she was officially there the full time (1st day was modified).  We picked up her little cousin and they ran into school together laughing the whole way. 

Jax wanted to get out and go with her.  He was sad.

We drove home and tried to be productive, but we missed Kenzi.  Jax lounged on my bed for 2 hours…literally.  He was missing his buddy, mommy just doesn’t cut it sometimes especially while doing laundry, making beds and doing the dishes.  So mommy came in and we tickled and wrestled (as well as an 8 1/2 month preggo mom can) and laughed and ate licorice and watched a show until it was time to go get sister.  He was so excited!

Kenzi got in the car and Jax exclaimed “HI! Hi!” He was so happy to see sister again.  I love it and love that they have this little bond and love each other so much!
