These two seriously send me through the ringer of emotions (especially lately, so not fair when you’re pregnant and your emotions get the best of you…well, mine do anyway).
My little Makenzi is really starting to turn into this little girl with definite opinions on what she likes and dislikes. She LOVES to be my helper (with everything). She tells me all the time that she wishes she could be a mom and do mom things. (I reassure her that I wish I could be a kid and do kid things and that she definitely has a good thing going for her now Ü). She LOVES to take care of Jaxson and is always watching out for him wherever we are so that he is safe and always included with what she is doing. And she always wants to know what’s next in life: what are we doing when we get home? what are we doing in the morning when we wake up? what are we going to do when Jax gets up from his nap? She’s always onto the next thing!
And then there’s the flip side of little Miss that stomps around the house declaring that she doesn’t get to do ANYTHING, EVER! She likes to throw her arms about when she’s not getting her way (which to her seems pretty often) among other lovely 4 y/o tirades. And tends to get disappointed when the answer to her question is NOT what she was wanting to hear: “we’re going home” “no ice cream this time” “you have to share with Jaxson” “it’s too dark to go to the park”, etc. It’s just SO hard being 4 :)
However, then she’ll switch back into sweet Kenzi and tell me “I love you SO much, Mommy” and flash her sweet smile and give me the biggest. hug. EVER! She loves to come in my room in the morning and cuddle up next to me and get warm again and just do what she can to be close to me. I totally love it and totally love HER.
This little guy COMPLETELY melts my heart! Completely! I love his chubby cheeks and well all his chubbiness! He has this HUGE personality that absolutely cracks me up! He will absolutely MAKE you say “Hi” to him (he really won’t stop saying “hi” until you say “hi” back to him!). He’s sweet with his hugs but he can be pretty selective on when he gives those out! He LOVES to say “no” even when he means yes. He thinks he makes COMPLETE sense when he is talking in his 2 y/o gibberish. He LOVES to read his “buh” aka books, at night before he goes to bed. He loves to drink “ju ju” (juice) and eat “faffles” and gets SO EXCITED when you’re getting it ready for him as he dances around singing “yay yay yay”. It really is the small things with him that makes his day!
He too can be a little stink sometimes as he’s watched his ah-hem “example” that is his older sister. He’s quickly picked up on when and how to stomp your foot, how to throw one arm if you’re kinda mad and TWO arms if you’re really mad, just how far you should stick out your lower lip, and how to have a 2 y/o meltdown in a busy store in the middle of an isle as loud as you possibly can!
But seriously, one look in those big brown eyes of his and he will completely have you wrapped around his chubby little finger! I love how he insists on feeding himself (even if he gets a bit messy), I love how he RUNS into my room in the morning and gets right next to my face and says “HI!” in this chipper little voice and I totally love when he’s saying good-bye to someone how FRIENDLY he can be with his “buh-bye (wave)” and blows a kiss! He likes to put on this strong front that he’s a big boy and can run and do big boy things but you can’t let that fool you as he is so sensitive with the softest, sweetest heart you could ever imagine! LOVE HIM!! LOVE!
