Happy Easter

We had a great Easter Sunday. Kenzi wore her pretty Easter dress to church in the morning. She kept looking at it and saying "oh, pretty!". She picked out some pretty new white sandals at the store to go with her dress. Yes, she really picked them out. I gave her a couple of options and she told me "No!" with a thrust of the hand on all of them except these ones she's wearing. So opinionated for an almost 2 y/o. She definitely knows what she wants.

After church we invited some friends over for dinner which included ham, au gratin potatoes, a frozen raspberry jell-o salad, rolls and vegetables. It was yummy!!!

Makenzi woke up from her nap and went to search out all the Easter eggs that the Easter bunny had left behind. She did a great job and found all of them! She was funny, she HAD to use the small purple basket, however there were too many eggs for the small one so we had to get her another basket to make it work.

She received some fun things in her basket: a Mr. Potato Head Bunny, some Play-doh, and her favorite: another PUPPY show (101 Dalmations!). Makenzi later got to paint some eggs (since we didn't have time earlier in the week). We used a different kind of egg dye that had the dye in these Q-tips of sorts. It was fun for her but messy still the same. Oh well :)

It was a nice day and fun to have the Malnar's over (Thanks for coming guys!).

Thanks for sharing your Easter with us. I can hardly wait until she can join her cousins for the big Easter egg hunt.

The dress fit perfectly, do you have a picture with a closer look at the shoes>?
