The Hunt is ON!

Today Makenzi was having an Easter Party at her school, so since she doesn't normally go to school on Thursdays I asked to see if she could still come and enjoy all the fun and they said "Of course!"

We had to bring 12 plastic eggs with candy in them for our part of the Easter Egg hunt and then make sure to bring her Easter basket to collect them all.

When we got there I helped "hide" all the eggs with another instructor and then we went and got all the kids to do their Easter Egg Hunt!

Here they are lined up along the wall ready to go. I don't know why but Makenzi looks like she's about to cry in this picture. She was really OK though! This is her friend Nadia (so adorable!)
Makenzi was catching on to the whole "find an egg, put it in basket" concept early on into the hunt!

Ahh she hit the jackpot where there were THREE eggs in the window just her height! Lucky girl
Okay, enough hunting, she's ready to PLAY!!!

Look at all her eggs she found! She did AWESOME!

Time for a yummy snack!

It was fun to go to her school today and help out a little bit and see all that goes on in Makenzi's day while she is there (granted, they don't have egg hunts every day!). Her teachers and other instructor's constantly told me what a GREAT girl Makenzi is and that she is the best one in the class! They never have to tell her to get back in her chair during snack time or lunch time, she doesn't rough house the other kids (not a huge surprise there...she's so tiny I think she knows she would lose!) and just overall that they LOVE it when Makenzi comes and that they would watch her ALL day EVERY day if they could! :) It was reassuring to me as a mom to know that Makenzi was at a great school while Jed and I are at work and that they do truly love the kids there!

I am so glad Kenzigirl got to hunt for Easter Eggs, and I not a bit surprised that she caught on so fast. She's a smartie thats for sure. I love that her school loves her. Makes a big difference huh?

Love ya's, da mom

Looks like a lot of fun! It's nice to know that you have someone who really carse about your kids watching them.
