Jed had a conference for work this past weekend in Chicago. He had done some research on Toric Lenses and was asked to make a presentation about it at the conference. I can't really tell you a thing about Toric Lenses and/or the purpose for them, however, I did find it a great excuse to join him and make a mini vacation out of it!
We spent the weekend in Chicago enjoying the beautiful weather. We spent most of Saturday at Navy Pier celebrating Makenzi's 2nd Birthday and later went to a fantastic Chicago-style pizzaria: Giordano's. It was delicious! mmmm, so good!
Jed attended his conference on Sunday and unfortunately had a bit of laryngitis (poor guy) so he got through the presentation and came back to the hotel to rest!
I have a really good friend, Lacy, that used to live down here that we met up with for dinner at the Weber Grill. It was SOOO good to see her. She is getting married in June and I can't wait to fly up for her wedding!
One of the highlights for me on the trip was going to a Milwaukee Bucks game. I know, I know...they haven't been the best team this year but I'll always be rooting for them. I used dance on the Bucks Energee! dance team and there were still a couple of girls on the team that I danced with so I got to go and chat with them and my old coaches during the game! They are still super cute and as sweet as ever!
Blast from the Past:
(ahhh those were the days...obviously PRE-baby! hahaha! The Bucks team colors have changed since I danced...no more purple)Lindsey dunking the ball during 4th Quarter
It turned out to be a pretty good game! They were playing the Boston Celtics and ended up losing in overtime. It was fun to be there and see everyone!
I think that possibly Jed's highlight of the trip was going and eating at Pizza Shuttle! This was a place he liked to go to while living in Milwaukee. I have to admit it's pretty good! Wash it all down with a Sprecher's Root Beer and you're set! YUMMY!
Overall, we had a great time, but it's always nice to come home and sleep in your own bed!

Looks like a good time was had by all. I made it to Chicago once last Thanksgiving and I froze my butt off. I'm so lucky I can brag at one of my friends was a dancer for the bucks.
Hope you're all well.

Looks like you guys had a fun trip. Toric lenses are weighted lenses designed for astigmatisms. (I have an astigmatism and those were the only lenses that would correct my vision. But I couldn't wear them for long)
Okay, Okay, WHAT is Kenzigirl doing with those oranges??? Sizing them up??? hahahahahaha too funny!!
