On Monday evening we got a phone call from Jed's dad informing us that "Grandmama" had passed away. This wasn't completely unexpected as her health has progressively been deteriorating. But nevertheless is still hard when you lose a grandparent regardless of age, health, etc. She was 87 years old.Grandmama was such a special person. We always enjoyed going down to her house to play card games and enjoy her snacks that she always had. She was so fun to play games with and always made for a good time! At Christmas time we would ALL get together for the annual Poll Christmas Eve party that was so large it has to be held at the church now! Every Christmas morning we would then meet at her house for a huge breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon!
I know our family will cherish her handmade quilts that she gave us for our wedding and the beautiful baby blanket she quilted for Makenzi! She was so talented in many ways! We will miss you Grandmama! We love you!

So sorry to hear about Grandmama. But now she's in a better place and not in pain and sick like she has been, so that's good. She sounds like a wonderful lady. I'm sure she will be missed...
