So Fall weather came with it’s turning colors on the leaves and the crisp air and the earlier sunsets, as well as the pumpkin patches, sweater weather and my birthday as well! AKA: my most FAVORITE time of the year! I LOVE it!!! LOVE!!
Here are some highlights:
Annual pumpkin patch trip to Papa & Remaw’s to search out the perfect pumpkins:
Got all dressed up and acted like someone else: AKA Halloween:
Our Ballerina:
Our cute little lady bug that wasn’t having it with the hat that had her antenna’s on it
And this super scary pirate that truly spoke nothing else other than “AAAARRRRR!”

My birthday was squeezed somewhere in there. Jed took me shopping and out to lunch and afterwards we got our family pics taken! Pics to come later because I don’t have my CD with me (as in literally IN my laptop) and sadly I’m too lazy tired to get it and upload from the CD. You will just have to wait. Sorry.
Jed also totally and completely surprised and spoiled me for my birthday with getting me my DREAM car!!!!! I was (and still am) on CLOUD 9!! The guys at the dealership were hilarious and were just as excited as I was that I was actually (unknowingly) getting this car I had wanted and talked about for so long!! Don’t get me wrong, the Highlander was GREAT but with 3 kiddos, we just weren’t fitting in it anymore. I love it, absolutely love it! Thanks, Husband!!!!!!!!!
~~~
Thanksgiving was with Jed’s family this year so we headed over to his parents and had dinner with them and his brother, Justin. Great dinner, for sure. And per my tradition I made my mom’s sweet potatoes for all to enjoy, and by all I mean ME. Jed’s not a fan. At ALL. But I don’t let it stop me, I LOVE them. Jed’s dad isn’t usually a fan (so I hear), however, I may have changed his mind on that. Jed’s mom likes them and was happy to have me make my family’s recipe to bring.
And before you know it, Autumn is over and it’s December and time to break out the winter coats and gloves…so not a fan.
What car did you get?!! Exciting! I was so glad to finally say goodbye to our 11 year old minivan! I can so empathize with your excitement! Love seeing how much your kids have grown. They are darling! Miss you!
Love, Danette
Danette! Oh how I miss you! I check in on your blog and can't get over your kids!! They have all grown so much!! I love reading all your adventures! Are you loving AZ?? Do tell, what was YOUR new car that replaced the minivan? Sequoia perhaps?? :) I've always thought you had great taste!! :) MISS YOU!! PS. loved your Christmas card! :)
You got it! We finally got the Sequoia. We were paying the same as a car payment every month just to fix the van...so it was definitely time. What was your dream car? Yes, we love Arizona. Especially right now when it's 75 degrees ( not so great at 115 though). If you're ever down this way let us know. We'd love to see you and your cutie pie kiddos!
Same as you, chica!! Sequoia!! :) We love, love, love it!! We really needed more room after Bailee was born, simple things like loading up the groceries or a quick road trip were becoming impossible! We would love to come see you, especially this time of year! AAHHH, get me outta here!! I need sun, warmth, blue skies and some time spent with great friends!! ;) SO great to hear from you!
So glad we got to be in on the fun surprise of your NEW CAR!!! That was so fun!!! It's a beauty! You look smokin' hot driving it too!! :)
