A little late in posting about Labor Day but that's okay. We were invited to go to a BBQ with some people that Jed works with. On our way we were stopped at a stop light and all of a sudden Kenzi says "Jesus Christ"....Jed and I just kind of looked at each other like "uhhh that was random" So I turned around and asked her what she was saying and so again she said "It's Jesus Christ" and then pointed. We looked to where she was pointing and low and behold there was a Catholic church on the corner with a statue of Jesus Christ in front of it. Such a smart little girl!!
So on our way we went to the BBQ with our homemade baked beans in hand (burning hot through the hot pads!) and eventually arrived at our location.
Kenzi immediately wanted to put on her swimming suit to go out and play with the other kiddos. She quite enjoyed herself even though it took quite a lot of coaxing to actually get her IN the kiddie pool. After about 20 mins (tops!) she informed us that it was "too hot, nee go inside!" So we got her changed back into her clothes and it was time to eat. The food was delicious and the kids had a blast. It was fun to chat with those that Jed works with on a daily basis. The wives were generous in telling me that I look good being so close to my due date...I beg to differ :) It was funny though as I felt right in with the other couples as we are following the GIRL first then the BOY pattern. Too funny.

Good times guys! Kenzi girl is the cutest thing ever! :) No baby yet? Call me tomorrow. Got a story for you about Tiff & her baby! Or maybe you want to wait until your baby comes! :)
I remember that all you kids wanted to go out and play in the water, but none of you wanted to get wet. Alec and Kyli have been the same way. As kids get older and are exposed more to the 'pool' they decide it is fun to be IN the water. I love the picture of her standing in it and playing. It sounds like you had a great Labor Day. We didn't do a darn thing in that it rained and rained hard all Sunday and Monday. Oh well, we needed the rain.
Looks like lots of fun. Makenzi's hair is always so cute.
