Just a quick update to let y'all know that we made it through the hurricane. Our house came out relatively unscathed. We lost a few shingles, some water got in via our front and back door and also through some window seals. We are currently without power or water. No saying when all that will come back...not for some time.
Currently we have escaped to a friends house that has power and water. Yay!! It was nice to get a good night's rest last night.
The good news is that I did NOT go into labor during the storm: low barometric pressure MY EYE!! :) I feel good and am just glad to be where there is some A/C!
Kenzi did very well during the storm. She slept through most of it, only waking up at 5AM for the last couple of hours of the storm. She wasn't scared at all which is a miracle and thank heaven's for that little miracle!
I can't imagine "hunkering down" for anything greater than a cat. 2 storm!! This one was frightening enough!! We were up most of the storm, Jed was checking the house and cleaning up water and I was up texting my mom getting updates on the storm ie: wind speeds, where the eye of the storm was, how much longer etc. It started at about 1:30 AM and finally, FINALLY died down at around 7:30 AM. I was so glad to have it over!!!
Thanks to everyone who had us in their prayers!! Your love and support was certainly felt!! I'll try to post pics and what not when we get our power back.

Hey Jeni, I'm so glad you guys made it through the storm. I was thinking about you guys when I was watching the news. Crazy that you were that close. But I'm glad that you are all alright. So new baby any day? :) You and me both. Good luck with number 2 I can't wait to see pictures.
